###Stephanie Honess
_MScPT, Level III Upper and Lower Quadrant Manual Therapy Certification through the Orthopedic Division; Biomedical Dry Needling (BDN); Intermediate Clinical Pilates_
Growing up in a small town (Enchant, Alberta) groomed me for a life filled with sports- baseball, basketball, badminton, dance, volleyball and the list goes on! I was always active, and enjoyed being outdoors, and because of that ended up needing a lot of physical therapy in the process. Volleyball ended up being the sport I pursued, and was fortunate to compete at the provincial, national, and eventually collegiate level at the University of Calgary where I obtained my Bachelor's degree. I have been working as a physiotherapist in Lethbridge since I graduated from University of Alberta with a Master’s in Physiotherapy in the fall of 2015, and have since completed many other postgraduate certifications including manual therapy and dry needling. These days my interests include hiking, biking, running, lifting weights, and spending time with my husband, daughter and extended family.
I consider my treatment to be exercise and movement focused, with a strong manual therapy component to help you reach your movement goals. Although I do have a special interest in the athletic population, anyone that is motivated to reach their movement and fitness goals are my specialty.

This is for anyone who has not undergone an assessment with one of our physiotherapists recently and would like to participate in clinical pilates. Please inquire if you are unsure if too much time has passed since your assessment. Clinical Pilates is a form of exercise that focuses on posture, core stability, balance, control, strength, flexibility, and breathing. Our sessions are completed on a reformer, tower, and mat, and will include a home-exercise program that compliment your in-clinic workout. You must undergo a physiotherapy assessment prior to participating, and it can be used as part of your treatment at the therapist's discretion. Clinical pilates compliments any physiotherapy or training program. These treatments are billed as physiotherapy and can be submitted to your insurance as such. Please inquire if you would like to learn more!

If you were previously being treated in the clinic and are now unable to attend in-person, or if you have done a Tele-Rehab Assessment, this is the appropriate treatment for you. Your virtual rehabilitation session will include progressions of your home exercise program, education on how to adjust your activities or postures, and self-guided pain strategies.
This assessment will be performed via video call with one of our therapists. We will perform a thorough history of your injury, watch your movements, and guide you through other tests to get the information we need. Education and counsel on your condition will be provided, along with self-guided pain management strategies and treatments. The therapist will let you know if they feel virtual rehabilitation is not appropriate for you at this time, and other options will be discussed.
