Throughout his 20+ years as a physiotherapist, Stephen has had the privilege of working in multiple different roles within the healthcare industry, most recently leading clinic operations in BC for Canada’s largest rehabilitation provider. Throughout it all, he has always maintained his roots in direct patient care. With degrees in Kinesiology (Simon Fraser University), Physical Therapy (University of Toronto), and numerous post-graduate professional development courses under his belt, his experience and skillset provide a well-rounded toolkit to help address your needs.
Stephen’s passion for rehabilitating recent traumatic orthopaedic and sports related injuries is met with an equal interest in the challenge of assessing and treating complex musculoskeletal issues that have persisted and plagued people for years. Instead of chasing symptoms, his approach is geared towards finding the root of the problem, developing a well-constructed plan, and leveraging the strengths of a truly integrated health care team to focus on long term, successful outcomes and not just temporary pain relief.
Having worked with numerous desk jockeys, weekend warriors, elite athletes, and everything in between, Stephen takes pride in valuing each individual’s rehabilitative journey. Whether the outcome is focused on returning to work, returning to recreational or competitive athletics, or simply wanting to walk up a flight of stairs again pain free, everyone’s goals are meaningful and warrant the same level and quality of care that high level athletes are accustomed to.
Outside of the clinic, Stephen enjoys reliving his glory days through the eyes of his 3 children with all of their academic and athletic pursuits. On weekends, he can often be found in the woods chasing them down in one of the many incredible trails that surround us, or just simply lounging in the backyard by the fire, enjoying a cool night’s breeze.

One-on-one baseline concussion assessment to assess baseline vision, balance, cognition, reaction time, verbal memory, working memory, attention, and autonomic nervous system, AND FDA-approved computerized eye movement screen. This appointment is for patients who have NOT sustained a concussion. Recommended for athletes aged 12 and up.
During the appointment we will review your health and movement history, perform a mini-movement assessment, set some mobility goals and introduce you to the Stretch to Win method.
During a subsequent 25 min treatment we are able to focus on one key area - usually upper or lower-body.
During a subsequent 40 min treatment we can focus on 1-2 key areas that are restrict your ability to move freely.
A subsequent 55 min treatment is the most common; during this time we are able address the upper and lower body to eliminate restrictions.
A subsequent 85 min FST session is ideal for people who are very stiff or need more time to ease into their stretch therapy session.

A 45 minute treatment for patients with an active ICBC claim who require Non-Standard Treatment including: PCS/TBI, Spinal Cord Injury, Copmplex MSK, or Hand Therapy. Only book this appointment if approved by the treating Physiotherapist AND the Claim Specialist (CS).
One-on-one private physiotherapy initial appointment. Book if you have not seen a physiotherapist at Catalyst Kinetics in the past 6 months OR this is a new injury.
Private pelvic floor physiotherapy initial appointment for female patients. Book if your primary concern relates to pelvic health, such as urinary incontinence, pregnancy & post-partum care, or pelvic floor prolapse or weakness, even if you have seen a physiotherapist at Catalyst Kinetics within the past 6 months. An internal examination is not required in order to assess the pelvic floor. The assessment process, including whether an internal exam is indicated, will be discussed at your visit and informed consent will always be obtained prior to proceeding.
One-on-one private physiotherapy follow-up appointment. Book if you have been assessed by a physiotherapist at Catalyst Kinetics within the past 6 months AND this is not a new injury.
One-on-one private pelvic floor physiotherapy follow-up appointment. Book only if you have completed a Pelvic Floor Physiotherapy Initial Appointment, and if your primary concern relates to pelvic health, such as urinary incontinence, pregnancy & post-partum care, or pelvic floor prolapse or weakness.
One-on-one private physiotherapy follow-up appointment. ONLY book this appointment if you have discussed the need for an extended treatment with your treating physiotherapist. ***This appointment type requires approval from your physiotherapist.***
