Steve graduated with his Master’s in Physical Therapy from the University of Alberta in 2015; he previously attained his Bachelor of Science in Biology from University of Victoria. Steve grew up in the West Kootenay’s and his passion for physiotherapy started at a young age while playing a multitude of sports, both individually and team based.
Over the course his physiotherapy career, Steve has worked exclusively in the private practice setting treating a wide range of populations from geriatrics to elite and aspiring athletes. He takes pride at helping his clients at returning to their sport, work and/or daily functional activities, while using an evidence-based guided knowledge and a strong emphasis on exercise implementation.
Up to date, Steve has completed his CPA Orthopaedic Level III Manual Therapy accreditation, along with a variety of other certifications that include Mulligans Mobilization with Movement, Kineticore functional dry needling, and Shoulder: Theory and Practice. He has a desire to continue furthering his education in strength and conditioning along with a wealth of additional courses that will help advance his practice.
Steve has a deep-rooted love for outdoors and all that it has to offer. In his spare time he enjoys spending it with his family hiking, camping and any other way to spend time on the water or in the mountains. With respect to athletics, hockey has always been a passion in his life. He was fortunate to play competitive hockey at both the junior and university level and he still enjoys the game at a recreational level within the city.
