Tania has a keen passion for the healing arts. She is sensitive to the needs of not only the body, but also of the mind and spirit, believing that none can be separated from the others. She encourages healing on a holistic level. Tania graduated from the massage therapy program at Utopia Academy in 2010. She is passionate about her practice and is excited by the current research pointing to the many benefits of massage therapy. She is a very compassionate, calm, grounded and gifted therapist.
Tania believes every individual is unique and tailors each treatment specifically to each client. Tania enjoys treating individuals with a wide variety of conditions. She employs several massage therapy techniques in her practice, but her primary practice involves use of myofascial techniques, including Course of Applied Tensegrity (CoAT). This is a very gentle, subtle, yet effective technique.
Client education is also integrated into her sessions, as she strives to empower each individual to take charge of their health.
Prior to being a massage therapist, Tania worked in a variety of medical and scientific settings. She has an undergraduate degree in Biochemistry from the University of Waterloo and a master’s degree in Biological Sciences from Stanford University. With her unique combination of education and work experience, Tania plans to ultimately contribute to clinical research in massage therapy.

**Important Note: Mary is a student of massage therapy which means services are not eligible for extended health care plans or taxable benefits and she cannot provide treatment to those with a personal injury claim or pending litigation related to an injury (ICBC or WSB) .** Provided by a year 2 student and incorporates a variety of manual therapy techniques to support your individual treatment goals. Includes a 10-minute assessment , targeted therapeutic massage and finishes with a reassessment and home care recommendations.

Course length: 1 day, 9am-5pm. We will be covering topics of infant massage, positioning and protocol. Our focus will be teaching parents for infant massage for a healthy infant. As well as the common complaints, positioning and pediatrics will be addressed. Contraindications and precautions will also be addressed. We will also have a component for how to set up your own workshops, what to charge and who to market to. The course cost is $262.50 >21 days or $300 <21 days before the start date of the course. Course receipts will be sent out at the end of the course. You will receive a more detailed email about 10 days before the course is due to take place. Cancellation Policy: A 30% administration fee will be applied to refunds.
