Taryn Thomson is a formally trained member of the Communicative Disorders Assistant Association of Canada (CDAAC) and Speech-Language & Audiology Canada. She graduated from Western University with an undergraduate degree in Psychology prior to obtaining a Communicative Disorders Assistant post-graduate diploma from St. Lawrence College, graduating with distinction.
Originally from Fergus, Taryn spent years working and living abroad before returning to her roots and joining the team at Optimum Health Centre. She is bringing with her experience and understanding for cultural diversity and its customs. She uses this to offer her clients a compassionate and welcoming environment.
Taryn enjoys working with a variety of developmental and acquired speech and language difficulties and has gained experience with Autism Spectrum Disorders, preschool and school age speech/language/literacy development, Aphasia, motor speech disorders and more.

This will be an online visit using video conferencing
30 minute speech and language treatment session following an assessment.
45 minute speech and language treatment session following an assessment.
60 minute speech and language treatment session following an assessment.

This is a 90 minute appointment for a standardized assessment evaluating speech and language development. To be booked when you require formal language testing.
Support for infant feeding including breast/chest feeding and bottle feeding. Support pre and post tongue tie release and oral motor skills.
Follow up appointment for infant feeding
Longer appointment for infant feeding follow up - book if you have multiple challenges to trouble shoot/follow up on, or if you just like a little extra time. Reassessment if it has been more than 6 months since our last visit.
Re-assessment for individuals who previously participated in a full assessment. If you have not seen this clinician before, please book an Assessment visit first.
