Tasha Anderson, MSW, RSW

Tasha is a Registered Social Worker and Clinical Specialist with the Nova Scotia College of Social Workers. Born and raised in Dartmouth, she grew up playing a variety of sports and continues to carry that sense of movement and connection into her practice today.
With a deep passion for truly listening and supporting others in living value-based lives, Tasha brings a grounded, compassionate presence to her work. She has extensive experience across a range of settings, including schools, crisis work, addictions, palliative care, forensic and justice systems, and university counselling services.

Tasha is a lifelong learner, continually evolving her practice to meet the needs of her clients. She often incorporates movement and mindfulness into her sessions by offering “Walk and Talk” therapy. Tasha’s therapeutic approach is rooted in Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), with strong influences from Brief Solution-Focused Therapy (BSFT), trauma-informed care, and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT).
Tasha specializes in working with youth and young adults aged 12–30.

Group Workshop: Facilitated by Tasha Anderson and Sara Mader — receipt to be provided for reimbursement for insurance companies. No direct billing available. Guided breathwork and body-based awareness. This is a psychoeducational, experiential workshop — designed to help you feel more at home in your body and more equipped to navigate stress. Perfect for those who are therapy-curious, mindfulness-curious, or just tired of feeling overwhelmed.
50 Minute Mental Health Therapy with Registered Social Worker, Clinical Specialist Please book a “right fit” call before booking your first session.
A brief phone call (20 minutes) is required before scheduling your first appointment. This is an opportunity to discuss your needs, areas of focus for therapy, and determine if working together is a good fit. There is no cost for this call.
Virtual Therapy Session Sessions are offered by phone or video. A Right Fit Call is required before beginning virtual counselling. A credit card must be added to your Jane account unless you prefer to pay by e-transfer to Cove Sport Therapy.
This form of therapy takes place outdoors. The route in which we walk will already be confirmed via the required “Right Fit Call”. Please book your 20 minute complimentary call first.
