Thomas Scarr grew up on the Sunshine Coast where he developed a passion for sport and exercise. This led him to playing baseball in University and then pursuing a career in strength and conditioning as well as physical therapy.
In collaboration with his patients, Thomas uses education, exercise, dry needling and manual therapy to help them obtain their specific individualized goals.
Thomas' special interests lie in everything sports physical therapy, but specifically in working with hockey and baseball players. He has previously worked in professional soccer, university baseball and serves as SFU Hockey’s physiotherapist. Thomas has published research in the biomechanics field and has helped with UBC’s research looking into knee osteoarthritis.
When he is not working, Thomas enjoys playing sports with his friends - weight lifting, golfing and playing hockey.
