Tina provides a safe and effective treatment by integrating researched based techniques to promote health and function. In the application of manual therapy, she will consider health history, bio-psychosocial factors, and both nervous and muscle systems; then apply appropriate techniques and pressure with the intention of reducing overall or specific pain and tension.
Modalities incorporated during a treatment may include: DNM, myofascial techniques, hydrotherapy, joint mobilizations, and active and passive techniques. She also provides self-care recommendations such as stretching, strengthening and movement therapy.
She has a special interest in; chronic pain conditions, sports related injuries, neck and tmj conditions, headaches, scar tissue release and pre/post-natal care.
Her goal is to provide a comforting and supportive atmosphere in order to facilitate the healing of each unique individual.

Buccal massage is targeted treatment. This gentle massage technique targets the muscles and nerves of the whole face and head. Buccal massage can help with TMJ pain, clenching of the jaw, headaches, migraines, tinnitus, facial/neck pain, dizziness, ear aches, lymphatic flow, or difficulty swallowing or speaking. During your treatment, you will receive a warm towel application for the face, cold and warm Gua sha stone application, both facial and intraoral massage, and a head and neck massage. The intraoral portion of this treatment is performed with consent and with gloves. There are certain situations where Buccal massage may not be appropriate or should be used with caution. Some contraindications to Buccal massage include: Acute inflammation: inflamed or swollen skin. Aggravated skin conditions: rosacea, eczema or psoriasis on the face or cheeks. Recent surgery: please wait six weeks post facial or jaw surgery. Botox: please wait 2 weeks post Botox injections. Bruising or swelling Cold sores Bleeding gums

What to expect: Your first visit will start with a thorough assessment which will include: -current/past injuries -aggravating factors -overall health concerns -level of activity -functional limitations -contraindications Then an objective examination will be completed which may include: -postural analysis -functional movement patterns -active/passive range of motion From there your therapist will develop a rehab program which will include closely guided hands on exercises on the reformer to support your individualized rehab goals. What to wear: Workout attire. Bare feet or grip socks if you prefer to wear socks.
Prenatal massage is a safe way to help alleviate symptoms that may arise during pregnancy. Body positioning will ensure maximum comfort for the duration of the session. Specialized pregnancy pillows allow clients the option of laying face down. While face up client can be semi reclined to a semi- fowlers position. Can improve: Relaxation and stress, depression and anxiety, sleep, tight hips and lower back, headaches, neck pain. rib discomfort, muscle cramps, nerve pain (sciatic, carpal tunnel), and wrist pain.
