Tom has been a practicing Registered Massage Therapist since 2014; graduating from the West Coast College of Massage Therapy (WCCMT) in 2013 with a 3,000-hour competency diploma.
Tom’s approach to treatment is facilitative - aiding the body’s already natural ability to heal itself using well practiced techniques that have been shown to be effective. Before each treatment, Tom takes the time to understand your concerns by asking questions and assessing different movement patterns; answers any questions that you may have, and makes sure you are aware and understand what the treatment will consist of.
Safe and effective therapy is Tom's top priority - creating a safe environment is of most importance when providing massage therapy. Proper boundaries and consent are established before treatment begins and clients always have the ability to stop treatment for any reason at any time.
Before attending WCCMT, Tom received his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of British Columbia (UBC) in 2011; there he practiced as a student athletic therapist for Women’s Soccer and Women’s Softball. He has provided massage therapy in several sporting events while doing his studies at WCCMT. Post-graduation, Tom was a member of the wellness crew for the BC Bike Race for four years in a row.
Tom lives in West Kelowna with his family; loving and enjoying his time raising two young boys with his lovely wife.
