Tom uses a patient-centred approach to physiotherapy that involves comprehensive initial visits,
collaborative goal setting, education, and exercise prescription to get you back to the activities
you love. He also has experience with musculoskeletal and neurological rehabilitation. He looks
forward to partnering with patients in their rehabilitation journey and aims to help everyone
return to an active lifestyle.
Tom has experience as a personal trainer, and track and field coach. He is a trained track and
field Sport (all disciplines) and Club (throws discipline) Coach with Certifications from the Coaching
Association of Canada’s National Coach Certification Program. He
worked with clients from children to seniors who participate in sports for general fitness or to
compete at local, provincial, and national levels. He helps coordinate the NSSM Run group and
is an active run leader. Tom has a special interest in working with runners.
Tom earned an Exercise Science Diploma in Human Kinetics from Capilano University and then
went on to graduate from the University of British Columbia with a Bachelor’s of Kinesiology and Health Science. He then completed a Master’s of Science
in Physiotherapy from Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen, Scotland.,
Outside the clinic, you can find Tom trail running or hiking around the North Shore mountains,
cycling, or weight training.
