Uma is committed to creating a warm, collaborative, and non-judgmental space where clients feel comfortable exploring their thoughts, emotions, and experiences at their own pace. She recognizes that every person's story is unique and values building a strong therapeutic relationship grounded in trust, curiosity, and compassion.
Her therapeutic approach is integrative and tailored to each client's individual needs, drawing from evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Narrative Therapy, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT). She practices from a trauma-informed and culturally responsive perspective, recognizing the importance of each client's lived experiences, values, and personal strengths.
Uma works with adults and couples navigating anxiety, depression, stress, self-esteem, relationship challenges, life transitions, grief, identity concerns, and emotional regulation. She believes therapy is a collaborative process that helps clients deepen their self-understanding, build resilience, and create meaningful, lasting change.
She is committed to helping clients foster greater self-awareness, resilience, and confidence as they navigate life's challenges in a way that feels authentic to them.
