Vojtek ("Voy-tech") completed his Master of Science in Physiotherapy at Glasgow Caledonian University in Scotland after earning his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Simon Fraser University. Having grown up in the Fraser Valley, he is excited to return home to British Columbia after spending several years living and working throughout Europe and the United Kingdom.
Vojtek’s interest in physiotherapy began while studying at SFU, where he worked as an Athletic Trainer with a competitive lacrosse team. Through supporting athletes with injury management and return-to-sport rehabilitation, he developed a passion for helping people recover, perform at their best, and stay active.
Before becoming a physiotherapist, Vojtek worked as a Kinesiologist in British Columbia, delivering rehabilitation programs for individuals with musculoskeletal, neurological, and complex functional conditions. He later gained valuable experience working within the NHS in Scotland, treating a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions including sports injuries, post-operative rehabilitation, chronic pain, and workplace-related injuries.
One of the more unique aspects of Vojtek’s career has been his work in rehabilitation technology. While living in Europe, he collaborated with clinicians and engineers to help develop physiotherapy technologies, including anti-gravity treadmills, high-intensity laser therapy systems, and robotic exoskeletons used in neurological rehabilitation.
Vojtek believes that successful rehabilitation starts with understanding what matters most to each individual. His treatment approach combines education, hands-on therapy, and personalized exercise programs to help patients achieve meaningful and lasting results. He has a particular interest in manual therapy and looks forward to further expanding his skillset through dry needling and vestibular rehabilitation certification.
Outside the clinic, Vojtek enjoys snowboarding, hiking, soccer, playing tennis, and travelling. He is excited to be back in British Columbia and helping people return to the activities they enjoy most.
