Wai Ling Cheng (Wendy) is a licensed acupuncturist and a registered Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) practitioner with the College of Complementary Health Professionals of BC.
She has achieved accreditation with the Canadian Institute of Complementary and Alternative Medicine for Acupuncture methods and Techniques for Beauty and Weight Loss.
Additionally, she has been certified by the Fu’s Subcutaneous Needling Association of Canada (FSNAC) and has been a member of the association since April 2021.
During her treatments, Wendy takes a multidisciplinary approach via acupuncture and Chinese herbs to help her patients who are experiencing physical discomfort or health issues.
Wendy strongly believes in an integrative medicinal approach and enjoys working with a diverse group of MDs, Chiropractors, and other specialists to treat patients in a holistic manner.
Wendy believes that it is more important to find and treat the root cause of illnesses and pain, rather than simply targeting the presenting symptoms.
As someone who has experienced first-hand the healing results of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Wendy had decided to pursue acupuncture and Chinese medicine so that she may help, treat, and heal those that are in need.
During her free time, Wendy also loves to play the violin, piano, guqin, and pickleball.

Cosmetic Acupuncture involves the insertion of tiny needles, which are fine in diameter and shallow in depth, yet highly effective in their ability to increase circulation and oxygen supply to the skin, flush out bacteria, and stimulate repair proteins in the form of collagen and elastin fibres. The result is improved tone and texture, reduced fine lines and a brighter, clearer complexion from the inside out. Other facial rejuvenation modalities like cupping, gua sha, and lymphatic massage may be included in a cosmetic acupuncture visit, as they are symbiotic to the process of revitalizing skin quality, while also working to release muscle tension due to unconscious habitual patterns and expressions. Many people notice a shift after just one treatment, but for maximum benefit, a series of semi-regular treatments are recommended as a way to teach the skin where to build and repair on its own. Weekly or twice a month for the first 6 sessions is ideal, depending on individual starting points and end goals. Thereafter, a maintenance visit every few months is perfect for keeping things stable, both internally and externally.
