Yulia completed her Master of Arts in Counselling Psychotherapy at Yorkville University. She is also a
Certified Life Coach (CLC) and Certified Health Coach (CHC) through the Health Coach Institute. Her
approach is focused on trauma-informed Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and other evidence-based
modalities such as Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT/EFCT), Somatic Trauma Therapy, Mindfulness-
Based Therapy (MBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). She holds a certificate in Somatic Trauma Therapy and Emotionally Focused Therapy for Couples (EFTC).
Yulia began her training at a not-for-profit organization, where she worked with diverse populations, including individuals facing significant disadvantages and complex concerns. She currently continues to support teens, adults from various backgrounds, and couples, offering compassionate and culturally sensitive care. Yulia is passionate about walking alongside individuals on their journey to recovery, providing a safe, warm, and non-judgmental space to explore thoughts and emotions, foster healing, and achieve personal growth.
Yulia focuses on helping individuals navigate a variety of challenges, including depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, excessive worry, anger management, and relationship issues, as well as providing counselling to those who have experienced violence and abuse.
Before becoming a psychotherapist, Yulia worked as a financial analyst in the healthcare sector. While that career was both meaningful and well-established, over time, she found herself increasingly drawn to human stories and emotional lives. Yulia became increasingly interested in the experiences of individuals facing change, stress, and disconnection and navigating these challenges, healing, and growing. This growing desire to support people more directly led her to pursue a new path. She trained and worked as a life coach, and eventually transitioned into psychotherapy to deepen my ability to help individuals and couples. Her own journey has included significant transitions, and moving through those changes deepened my appreciation for the complexity and resilience of the human experience. Yulia brings that understanding—along with empathy, curiosity, and a grounded presence—into my work with clients.
