Yumi is a Registered Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner and a Registered Acupuncturist. She is also licensed in Five Elements Acupressure, Thai Yoga Massage, Foot Reflexology and Yoga Instructor.
She graduated from Acupuncture and Integrative Medicine Academy with Honours in Toronto. After she became a Registered Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner, she sought further training under Dr. Suzanne Robidoux to learn Classical Chinese Herbal Medicine (Jing Fang) and Classical Acupuncture techniques, which she found the most practical and effective.
Prior to her Chinese Medicine study, she obtained a Master’s degree in Pacific and Asian Studies at the University of Victoria in Victoria BC, and learned the social equality and inequality in Modern China. After graduation, she worked at a research company for several years. In her free time, she enjoys studying Classic Chinese philosophies of Lao Zi, Confucius, and Mencius.

Community Acupuncture is an Acupuncture treatments where you can receive a treatment, and pay what you can (minimum $20). Yumi can treat stress, emotional issues, pain, digestive issues, and much more. There will be no herbal prescription or refill can be given.

This treatment involves acupuncture and moxibustion treatment. Moxibustion is scientifically proven to repair nerve system, and expel damp pathogens from the body. The moxibustion treatment will follow after the needles are removed. This is Follow up treatment. If you have not gone through iInitial Consultation, please book the Initial Consultation first.
Follow Up Acupuncture treatment will include a brief follow up consultation and an Acupuncture treatment.. Treatment may include some manual technique such as cupping and guasha scraping as well as a herbal prescription.
Yumi will asses any improvements and changes after taking the herb, and will adjust and prescribe a formula. You will be given another herbal prescription.

It can treat from common cold or flu to chronic digestive issues, chronic pain (limbs or abdominal), hormonal issues, emotional issues, autoimmune issues or any random miscellaneous symptoms without few exception (although they do exist). This treatment does not include acupuncture or any manual treatments.

Moxibustion is a smoke and heat treatment, and the history is as old as Acupuncture. It is great when you are fatigued, weak, and cold, as well as when you have digestive issues, any inflammations and pains. This treatment does not include acupuncture treatment and a herbal prescription.
This is done remotely using Video Conference. You need to be a resident of Ontario Province. Chinese Herbal Therapy has the history of over 5000 years.
