Originally from Halifax, Nova Scotia, Zoey, obtained her master’s degree in Physiotherapy from Dalhousie University. Zoey is passionate about continuing her education and has taken several courses in concussion management, dry needling and manual therapy since her graduation. She is certified to perform cervical, thoracic, and lumbar manipulations along with manipulations of the extremities. She strives to keep up with the current best practice guidelines through lifelong learning and continuing education opportunities.
Zoey had practised in Camrose for a few years previously at her clinic Prestige Physiotherapy which she sold in 2022 prior to moving to the Middle East with her husband, Dr. Ahmad so that he could pursue further training in his field. While in the Middle East, Zoey worked part-time as a Registered Physiotherapist at the Ministry of Health in Kuwait and got an exciting opportunity to teach as an instructor at Kuwait University at the Department of Physical Therapy. Upon her husband's graduation Zoey and Dr. Ahmad returned to Canada and have made Camrose their home again.
Zoey's aim is to enable her patients to return to their desired hobbies and activities as quickly as possible through physical therapy interventions including but not limited to patient education, manual therapy, and active exercise programs. She strives to provide optimal care for her patients and is relentless in her desire to always put the needs and goals of her patients first.
Zoey has special interest in treating pre and post-operative patients. Her interests raised from working closely with Dr. Ivan Wong, an Orthopaedic Surgeon, in Halifax, in the treatment of pre- and post-operative hip, knee, and shoulder patients.
When not busy with work, Zoey enjoys spending time with her family and friends. Zoey also likes to invest her time in being active through running, hiking, playing tennis and cycling.

A concussion assessment is a comprehensive evaluation performed by a physiotherapist trained in concussion management. During this appointment, we assess your symptoms, balance, coordination, neck function, eye tracking, dizziness, and cognitive responses to determine how the concussion is affecting you. We will identify which systems are involved (e.g., vestibular/balance, visual, cervical spine) and create a personalized treatment and recovery plan. Education on safe return to work, school, and sport is also provided. Early assessment and guided rehabilitation can help reduce recovery time and lower the risk of prolonged symptoms.

Only book this session once an assessment is completed at our Clinic! Concussion treatment focuses on relieving symptoms and safely guiding your recovery. Your physiotherapist will create a personalized rehabilitation plan based on your assessment findings. Treatment may include: Vestibular therapy for dizziness and balance problems Vision and eye-tracking exercises Neck (cervical spine) treatment for headaches and stiffness Gradual return-to-activity and exercise programming Education and pacing strategies to manage symptoms Our goal is to reduce symptoms, restore normal function, and support a safe return to work, school, and sport as quickly and safely as possible.

Quality orthotics can alleviate pressure, eliminate pain, and promote stability. It’s important to receive custom orthotics that are created to fit the exact shape of your foot in order to receive the maximum benefits. As clinicians, we are specifically trained in musculoskeletal movement and have extensive knowledge of gait analysis and biomechanics of the lower extremities. We can provide you with orthotics that uniquely fit the contours of your feet, giving you the maximum amount of function, support, and comfort. Our trained clinicians can give you a comprehensive orthotic evaluation. He or she will provide a custom fitting to determine what will work best for your feet. Our clinicians will take into consideration your current medical conditions and activity level when providing the best custom orthotics. After your evaluation and fitting, it will likely take a few weeks for your custom orthotics to come back from the lab.
