In-person | 1 hour This is the first step in a two-part process designed to support your body through pregnancy and prepare for more efficient, supported labour and birth. As your body changes, it naturally adapts — sometimes creating patterns of tension, imbalance, or discomfort. This session helps us understand how your body is currently adapting, so we can support it in finding more ease, balance, and space as pregnancy progresses. What We Do in Part 1 1. Prenatal Structural Assessment Using the Body Ready Method® pillars (upper body mobility, core, pelvis, pelvic floor, and movement patterns), we assess: alignment and posture changes in pregnancy pelvic positioning and available space breath mechanics and core coordination movement patterns and gait how your body is distributing load as it adapts This helps identify: areas of tension, restriction, or discomfort what is overworking vs under-supporting how your body is creating (or limiting) space for baby where support can improve comfort and function 2. Birth Preparation Lens (Flow, Balance & Space) We assess your body through the lens of birth preparation, including: how your pelvis and surrounding tissues are moving where balance may be limited how your system is supporting (or restricting) baby’s positioning This gives insight into how your body can be supported to: move more efficiently in labour create space for baby to navigate the pelvis reduce unnecessary resistance during birth 3. Body Awareness & Pattern Communication Your body’s adaptations in pregnancy are not random. They reflect how your system is responding to change, load, and internal pressure. We explore patterns such as: bracing or holding tension shifting weight or avoiding load collapse or lack of support over-effort or fatigue patterns You’ll also receive insight into what your primary holding patterns may be communicating, helping you understand: why certain discomforts are showing up how your body is trying to support or protect you what it may need more of (support, space, stability, or rest) After Your Session I take time to: analyse how your body is adapting to pregnancy connect your movement and compensation patterns identify key areas to support comfort and birth preparation design a personalised prenatal movement and self-care program Part 2 — Prenatal Integration & Program (Booked Separately) In your second session, we: walk through your assessment findings begin your personalised prenatal movement program practise positions and strategies that support your body in pregnancy and birth refine movement for comfort, function, and preparation Booking Notes Part 1 (Assessment) is booked first Part 2 (Integration) is booked at least 24 hours later This allows time for thoughtful program design Who This Is For This work is ideal if you: are experiencing pregnancy discomfort (hips, back, pelvis, ribs) want to prepare your body for labour and birth want to support baby’s positioning through your movement are looking for a more personalised, body-aware approach to prenatal care What This Is Not not a generic prenatal workout not passive treatment not about forcing positions or stretching This is about supporting your body to adapt, move, and prepare for birth with greater ease and efficiency. Your body is already preparing for birth. This process helps you support it — so it doesn’t have to do it alone.
