Guasha et IASTM

Le Guasha est une thérapie manuelle qui prend ses origines de la médecine traditionnelle chinoise. Le mot «gua» signifie gratter et «sha» signifie marque rouge. Cette technique utilise un outil en pierre pour effectuer un frottement sur les régions ciblées afin de soulager les douleurs et les tensions musculaires, diminuer les adhérences, donner de la souplesse à la peau et favoriser la mobilité articulaire . Afin de bien épouser la forme du lieu à travailler, le massothérapeute dispose de plusieurs guasha. La version occidentale du Guasha est appelée IASTM (Instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization). Les outils utilisés par le massothérapeute sont en acier inoxydable grade médical et/ou en pierres.
