Laser is a form of light energy - Light Amplification by Stimulated Emission of Radiation.
This non-invasive method of acupuncture (absolutely no needles are used), performed by Dr. Chris Yam, D.TCM, uses this low power laser (stimulates tissue repair – ‘photo bio-stimulation’), which is too weak to damage cells and has no side effects.
The mechanism of action is believed to be the absorption of infrared energy by cellular tissues, which stimulates a biological response of releasing healing enzymes within those cellular tissues.
