Initial consultation not required for cervical ripening. Recommended to have three cervical ripening acupuncture treatments. One 60 minute cervical ripening treatment per week beginning at 37 weeks gestation to help prepare your body for labour. Acupressure points for labour and postpartum care information will also be provided.

Most of the session is the treatment itself — needles placed at selected points and left in place for a stretch, sometimes with heat or electrical stimulation — with a shorter check-in on what changed after last time and any small adjustments before you leave with the next step in the plan.
