Gua-Sha is an ancient healing method, where a smooth edged tool is used to scrape the skin with oil to stimulate circulation and relieve pain. The scraping action can result in a reddish or purple mark.
This is a focused treatment on a specific region of the body.
To be billed as acupuncture, two needles needs to be inserted during the session (not necessarily retained)

Most of the appointment is spent mapping out what’s going on in your body and choosing points, then resting with fine needles in place for a stretch — sometimes with heat, cups or electrical stimulation — and you leave with a sense of what was treated and whether more sessions make sense.
