Manual Lymphatic drainage (MLD) and Lymph Drainage Therapy (LDT) includes specialized techniques aimed at reducing and eliminating edema/swelling throughout the body. Edema can present after surgery, injury, post cancer treatments, illness or can show up if the lymphatic system is not optimally functioning.
This technique is a light soothing pressure aimed at moving edema from areas of congestion so it can be eliminated.
A MLD/LDT session can be on its own or combined with a therapeutic massage treatment where needed.
Please do your best to book all MLD/LDT massage appointments PRIOR to any upcoming injection/infusion appointments you may have. For MLD/LDT bookings soon after injection/infusion appointments, please discuss after-care procedures/policies with your healthcare provider.
