Concussion Assessment
Our initial concussion evaluation generally lasts around 75 minutes and focuses on identifying and prioritizing symptoms related to the concussion. The physical examination typically includes assessments of the head, eyes, neck, balance, cognitive and vestibular system. Based on the findings, treatment plans are customized and may involve a combination of education, graded exercise, manual therapy, vestibular rehabilitation, and oculomotor retraining.
In some cases, a thorough initial assessment may temporarily intensify concussion or vestibular symptoms. To ensure your safety, we recommend having someone accompany you for transportation after the session.
