The TMJ 90 is an all inclusive intra-oral and extra-oral massage treatment that treats trigger points and myofascial pain syndrome in and around the temporomadibular joints and jaw. the Therapist uses a gloved hand in the patients mouth and applies gentle, steady pressure on the origin and insertions of the medial and lateral pterygoid and masseter muscles to ease tension. The therapist may use many passes or recommend multiple treatments for optimal results. Included is a massage focusing on the head, neck and shoulders and a specific treatment for the headache type indicated is included. Heat is used when appropriate.
