Online initial Consults are for any breastfeeding concerns that need supportive care but are better suited for older babies, less complex issues or if in-person visits are not possible.
The visit will consist of a history, latch and feeding observation with verbal guidance and visual support, a brief physical assessment of baby with parental support and sometimes a self exam for breast concerns.
Although a virtual lactation consultant offers different support than an in-person appointment, it can be very helpful, answer your questions and help create a feeding plan that works for you.
