Supervised Acupuncture Appointment
A treatment from a student practitioner supervised by their instructor and one or more other student practitioners. **Please note that your appointment is booked with a clinical supervisor that assigns your appointment to a student in their clinic class.**
The primary therapeutic approach used is acupuncture, but patients may also receive therapies such as acupressure, tui na massage, cupping, moxibustion, and lifestyle and nutritional guidance. Appointments generally last up to 60 minutes, inclusive of student consultation time with their instructor as well as their clinic management duties.

What it is
Most of the appointment is spent mapping out what’s going on in your body and choosing points, then resting with fine needles in place for a stretch — sometimes with heat, cups or electrical stimulation — and you leave with a sense of what was treated and whether more sessions make sense.
Usually booked for
Ongoing tension that keeps coming back
A flare-up that changed how you move
Wanting a different approach than exercise alone
