Ear reflexology works with specific reflex points on the ears that correspond to organs, glands, muscles, and systems throughout the body. Because the ears contain a detailed map of the entire body, ear reflexology can be a powerful way to support relaxation, reduce tension, encourage balance, and promote overall well-being. Ear reflexology is often considered one of the more deeply relaxing and sedating forms of reflexology. Because the ears are located so close to the brain and contain many sensitive nerve endings, working with the ears may have a particularly calming effect on the nervous system. Ear reflexology may also be used to support people experiencing stress, low mood, headaches, migraines, and nervous-system tension. During this course, we will explore both the theory and practical application of ear reflexology while giving students the opportunity to practise and refine their skills with fellow participants. In this course, you will learn: • The benefits and therapeutic uses of ear reflexology • The history and development of ear reflexology • How the ear reflexology chart relates to the body • The basic structure and anatomy of the ear • How to inspect the ears before a treatment • Proper positioning and techniques for giving treatments • Important considerations and contraindications • A complete 30-minute ear reflexology routine • A quick reference guide for treatments By the end of the course, you will have the knowledge and confidence to perform a complete 30-minute ear reflexology session. Students will receive a Certificate of Completion at the end of the course.
