Group Prenatal Breastfeeding Class

Join our Lactation Consultants, Julia Mio @julia.ibclc and Megan Schafers @megan.schafers, for an evening of information about feeding your baby. They have specially curated a 2 hour curriculum packed with all of the information they want you to know BEFORE your baby arrives and you begin your feeding journey. This is a unique offering that you won’t find anywhere else in the city, as Megan and Julia combine their vast & varied knowledge and experience of lactation and breastfeeding. Bring your partner or one other support person to learn & absorb alongside you. The evening features: Getting Ready to Breastfeed Birth & Breastfeeding What is normal & When to get help Baby Gear: What you need and what you can skip And much more… Session will include a Q&A to wrap up any loose ends, in addition to access to electronic resources.

Most of the hour is spent talking through what’s been happening, how you’ve been reacting, and what patterns keep showing up — your counsellor asks questions, reflects things back, and helps you put words to it — so you leave with a clearer sense of what came up and what to keep noticing between sessions.
