Assessment: Parent/Guardian
The initial parent/guardian consult is required before a session with a teen (12+) can be booked.
During the assessment, the clinician will meet with the parent(s)/guardian(s) without the child/teen being present. The clinician will ask for information and background history about the child or teen's present challenges, explore teen and family strengths, identify goals for therapy, and provide some brief psycho-education. The assessment can take anywhere from 1 to 3 sessions.
Please inform the therapist the prefered modality: in-person, over video, or the telephone.
