This is a custom made insert fitted into a shoe. Orthotics provide support for the foot by redistributing ground reaction forces as well as realigning foot joints while standing, walking or running. They are used by everyone from athletes to the elderly to reduce or eliminate biomechanical deformities and a variety of soft tissue inflammatory conditions such as plantar fasciitis. During this visit, your chiropractor will assess your gate and foot joints alignment. After assessment, your foot samples will be taken and sent for custom production of the inserts. The orthotics are usually ready within 2 weeks.
