Physiotherapy Treatments using a PhysioYoga approach are for returning patients who have had an Initial Physiotherapy Assessment using the PhysioYoga approach, or who are currently undergoing physiotherapy treatment at the clinic. If you are a new patient to the clinic, or have a new injury, or have not seen the physiotherapist within the past 6 months, please schedule an assessment.
Physiotherapy treatments using the PhysioYoga approach include exploring yoga-based practices such as active and facilitated therapeutic mindful movement, awareness practices, breathing practices, mindfulness practices, as well as therapeutic education, traditional physiotherapy exercises, and development of an individualized home program.
Education on principles and potential lifestyle modifications relevant to your needs and values are explored. Sessions may include physiotherapy manual therapy techniques as indicated.
An essential part of your PhysioYoga experience is that we take a whole-person approach to your rehabilitation or health maintenance program. The intention is to provide you with the tools and support to regain your sense of agency, empowerment, self-efficacy and confidence in your path forward to living well again.
