First visit - child 12 years and under
During the first session, I will establish a detailed health assessment based on the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
I will then proceed with the acupuncture treatment, with the needles staying in place for about 15-30 minutes, depending on the formulated treatment plan. Other treatment options are available for children afraid of needles (acupressure, press seeds, press tacks).
For your first appointment, please bring a list of any medication your child may be taking and arrive 10 minutes in advance in order to fill out a health form.

Most of this first acupuncture visit is spent piecing together the pattern behind what’s been going on — questions about your symptoms, sleep, digestion and stress, plus feeling pulses or looking at your tongue — then the needles themselves and a clear sense of the treatment approach.
