Cervical Ripening is a safe and natural way to prepare the body for labour. Research has shown that acupuncture is an effective treatment in ripening of the cervix, relaxation of muscles and ligaments, + reduced complications during labour. Treatment starts at 36 weeks and is recommended 2 x per week until labour, alternatively, if 2 x per week is not doable 1 x per week for weeks 36-38 and then 2 x per week 38 onward.
