Lets plan to meet for 90 minutes for our first session. This gives us time to ask and answer lots of questions and complete any necessary documents. During this time we will begin to set some treatment goals and determine first steps towards those goals.

Most of this first counselling visit is spent talking through what has been happening, how long it has been weighing on you, and what feels hardest right now — with the rest on clarifying patterns, goals, and boundaries so you leave knowing how the work together could be structured.
