TMJ (temporomandibular joint) and buccal facial massage are specialized techniques designed to relieve tension, improve mobility, and reduce pain in the jaw, face, and neck. This therapy is particularly beneficial for individuals who experience jaw clenching, teeth grinding (bruxism), TMJ dysfunction, or facial tension. Externally, the therapist will work on the surrounding jaw, temples, neck, and facial muscles to release tightness and improve circulation. The treatment involves working on both the external and internal structures of the jaw and face. With the client’s consent, the buccal massage includes gentle manipulation of muscles inside the mouth to target areas of tension and trigger points.
