Alissa graduated from Vancouver College of Massage Therapy and previously worked as a Certified Personal Trainer with a certification in Fascial Stretch Therapy. Her interest in helping individuals with chronic pain and overuse injuries led her to pursue massage therapy. Alissa combines Swedish massage, deep tissue techniques, fascial work, and stretching to create a treatment approach that is both therapeutic and deeply relaxing. She tailors each treatment to the unique needs of the individual. Outside of the clinic Alissa enjoys attending spin and yoga classes, weight lifting and running. She also enjoys volunteering at the Greyhaven Bird Sanctuary and trying out new cafes with a good book.

Fascial Stretch Therapy (FST) is a table-based, therapist-assisted stretching system that focuses on the body’s connective tissue rather than just the muscles. Unlike typical stretching that isolates one muscle, FST works on entire chains of fascia that often become tight from stress, training, injury or posture. The therapist uses gentle traction, movement and stretching to create space in joints and free restrictions in the fascia. Designed to be pain-free , working with the nervous system through gentle, rhythmic patterns.
