Betony completed a 3-year Massage Therapy program at Mohawk College. Her experience includes outreach clinics working with the athletes of the Hamilton Tiger Cats, family members of patients at Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice home & adults of various abilities at Brant Community Living.
Betony attended the Canadian Massage Therapy Conference in 2023 and took a course with Christine Sutherland; co-founder of Sutherland-Chan School of Massage Therapy called "Dying in Good Hands - Palliative Massage Therapy"
She is also an avid camper and paddler, loves her home veggie garden and going on adventures with her husband and kids.

Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) is a gentle type of massage that helps move lymph fluid through the lymphatic system. The lymphatic system is part of the body’s immune system and helps remove waste, toxins, and extra fluid from the tissues. During a manual lymphatic drainage treatment, the therapist uses light, slow, and rhythmic hand movements to stimulate the lymph vessels and encourage the natural flow of lymph fluid toward the lymph nodes. This helps reduce swelling, improve circulation of lymph, and support the body’s ability to remove waste and fight infection. MLD is often used to help people with swelling (called lymphedema), after surgery, after injury, or for general detoxification and relaxation. Because the lymphatic vessels are close to the surface of the skin, the pressure used in this treatment is very light compared to regular massage.
