Acupuncture and Celluma Light Therapy (a cutting edge, Health Canada approved technology) are utilized, along with gua sha, facial massage and cupping. The treatment starts with a Traditional Chinese Medicine health diagnosis. The therapist will create a customized point prescription to improve overall health. The face is treated with cupping and gua sha, followed by the insertion of small acupuncture needles targeting motor points to reset and balance the facial muscles. This improves smoothness, elasticity, and expressiveness. Next Celluma (near infrared light therapy) is administered, improving cellular performance, increasing circulation, accelerating tissue repair and, if necessary, killing acne bacteria. All these modalities address dullness, uneven pigmentation, acne, rosacea, inflammation, dryness, wrinkles, puffiness, and sagging skin. Each treatment will be specially tailored to suit your needs and will include an herbal assessment and may also include: acupuncture, tuina massage, moxabustion, guasha or cupping. Always inform your therapist if a specific modality is preferred. Anyone is welcome to book their first visit in this clinic. However, follow up appointments will only be available to those who take herbs prescribed by our students. Our students will treat either on their own or in groups of 2 or 3 and are supervised. Students/supervisors will all be wearing PPE and following Public Health and CTCMPAO protocols.
