####**Christina’s biggest inspiration and introduction to the world of massage therapy came from her paternal grandmother, who displayed a very loving and skilled hand at the craft throughout her life. Dedicated to learning more about the holistic approaches in which she was taught, Christina became determined to fulfill her desire to help others improve their mobility, minimize pain symptoms, and replenish their emotional and mental well-being.**####

En savoir plus sur ChristinaAfficher moins

####**Christina began the Registered Massage Therapy program in 2017 and graduated from CDI College in South Surrey in December 2019. During her academic career, she earned a job position at a spa in Burnaby where she worked as a bodyworker for two years. This job allowed her to advance in her practical skills in terms of understanding soft tissues of the body and assuming confidence in Swedish and relaxation techniques, as well as improving her communication skills.**####

####**Before becoming a Registered Massage Therapist, Christina developed a background in Psychology at Langara College before she decided to enroll in a more hands-on program. The RMT program has provided her with the necessary tools to treat and assist with the management of a multitude of medical conditions and injuries. Christina has been able to utilize a wide variety of skills and knowledge due to her experience in numerous settings. Some of these modalities include - but are not limited to - Swedish massage, myofascial release, trigger point release, joint mobilization, proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation (PNF), and muscle energy technique (MET).**####

####**Since becoming a Registered Massage Therapist, Christina has worked at three locations - a multidisciplinary clinic in South Surrey, an RMT-focused clinic in Delta, and a clinic in Gastown. She has worked alongside a wide variety of knowledgeable RMTs, Chiropractors, Physiotherapists, Naturopathic Doctors, Acupuncturists, Bodyworkers/Aspiring RMT Students & a highly skilled team of administrative/office professionals.**####

####**In March 2022, Christina began her solo RMT practice in the Downtown Vancouver area at 303-700 West Pender Street. She is hopeful that her priority for providing exceptional service, dedication to the care of her patients & years of experience in varying clinical environments can be a beneficial addition to the Central Vancouver region. Christina has also worked as a Lead Instructor & Teaching Assistant at Vancouver College of Massage Therapy (VCMT).**####

####**Throughout the majority of her practice, Christina has worked with a considerable number of ICBC patients to treat the aftermath of a motor vehicle accident, as well as assist with postural re-education due to occupational factors. Through adequate special testing and pre-treatment assessment, she can provide all of her patients with the same level of accurate and consistent care, as well as the ability to utilize this data to formulate safe and effective long-term treatment plans.**####

####**Based on her knowledge of human anatomy and kinematics, as well as her ability to utilize the extensive knowledge she has had the privilege of learning, Christina focuses on addressing the specific needs of each patient. She does so by detecting the source of their complaint whether it be a repetitive strain injury due to occupational habits, an inability to shoulder check directly after a motor vehicle accident, or simply due to emotional stress. By determining these sources, she can treat and/or refer the patient out to the necessary health care professionals if needed.**####

Snow Motion Massage offers a complimentary online consultation for families interested in infant care services. This consultation is designed to help determine whether your baby would benefit most from private one-on-one Registered Massage Therapy (RMT) treatments, or from the 5-week Infant Massage Program, which is instructional in nature and focused on teaching parents how to massage their own babies. During this session, we will discuss your goals and any concerns you may have, review the differences between RMT treatment sessions and the infant massage course, and outline what each option involves. Private one-on-one sessions are RMT treatments provided by a Registered Massage Therapist registered with the College of Complementary Health Professionals of BC (CCHPBC) and are typically covered under extended health benefits, with direct billing available when possible. The 5-week Infant Massage Program is educational and instructional only and is taught by an RMT who has completed additional training with the International Association of Infant Massage (IAIM), and is priced accordingly to reflect that it is not RMT treatment. This is a complimentary, no-obligation consultation intended to provide information, as well as help families make an informed and confident decision before booking services.

Snow Motion Massage offers small group Certified Infant Massage classes with a maximum of three families per group. These sessions provide a supportive, relaxed environment where parents can learn alongside others while still receiving individualized guidance. The program consists of five structured sessions, typically completed over five weeks. Each class builds on the previous one, teaching parents how to safely and confidently massage their own baby at home. Techniques are demonstrated on a doll, and parents are guided as they practice with their own baby. The instructor does not massage the babies directly. Small group classes allow time for education, discussion, and questions, while fostering a sense of community among parents. Throughout the program, families learn infant massage techniques, how to read baby cues, and ways to support relaxation, digestion, sleep, and emotional regulation. Group classes will be held at a separate rented venue in downtown Vancouver (not at the Snow Motion Massage clinic location). Full location details will be provided upon registration. The primary focus of the group program is to strengthen bonding, communication, and connection between parent and baby in a calm and welcoming setting.
