Deanne started her career in massage therapy in 2010 after suffering from a downhill mountain biking accident which required her to get a lot of manual therapy. She was always amazed by the healing effects that could be attained by the use of nothing other than skilled hands and an in-depth knowledge of anatomy. She is always seeking out new and improved ways on how to treat the body and loves being able to tailor her treatments to the individual needs of every client that walks into the treatment room.
Deanne does deep tissue, RAPID NFR, Graston, cupping, Shockwave, Sports Massage, Myofascial release, active release therapy.

Initial Assessment is an overview of various tests to determine the possible cause of your pain or dysfunction. Special tests may be utilized to pin point the direction of the treatment. Approximately 45 mins which includes a short treatment with a plan to move forward.
Try RAPID Neurofascial reset at the end of your massage session to help resolve those pesky issues that keep you in pain. Rapid is a deep movement based technique that is done at the end of the session to be the most effective. Give it a try and see if it is the thing that can get you back to pain free. 45 mins of the session will be therapeutic massage, 15 mins will be RAPID at the very end.
Myofascial release is the missing piece to resolving restrictions in the body that haven’t responded to the normal treatment techniques. The fascia or connective tissue that becomes bunched, tightened or restricted by poor posture, scar tissue, surgical procedures, or past trauma or injury needs a completely different approach. This technique is slow, patient work that often results in prolonged, profound lasting changes.
Book this if you are interested in the gentler approach to your pain. Fascia is the connective tissue that surrounds everything in the body. Releasing restrictions in one area can improve many others areas since everything is connected.

What is RAPID Neurofascial Reset? RAPID is a type of massage that treats aches and pains by focusing on the nerves rather than muscle tissue. It’s a lotion-free technique, so the client remains clothed, and the treatment is movement-based to encourage the client to perform active motion. When you feel pain , that sensation is coming fro nerves that are excessively sensitive.. When the brain processes this sensory information it reacts by kicking off an inflammatory response to start healing: you immune cells come flushing in and cause swelling to occur to protect and clean the area, but sometimes they aren't flushed out and end up contributing more to that increased nerve sensitivity. The purpose of RAPID is to reset nerve hypersensitivity back to neutral. RAPID excites the nerves to re-create the inflammatory cascade, a process that the body uses to heal, tissue can slide and glide when they are less inflamed and more hydrated. The high intensity of the technique causes a release of a natural neurotransmitter causing an analgesic effect. This, along with the client’s active movements allows the body to downgrade pain and reprogram sensory information processed by the brain. This then causes an immediate change in how the body responds to what it’s now feeling. It’s for this reason that treatment lengths are shorter and the results last longer. Movement and return to activity are highly encouraged after a RAPID treatment to reinforce the changes created by the body. RAPID doesn’t physically alter tissues, it’s just changing the information from the nerves, so it’s able to be used for many conditions and contributes greatly to faster healing. Young and old alike can benefit from this amazing technique. Come dressed in comfortable clothing as you would for yoga.

Shockwave uses high amplitude sound waves to break through dense scar tissue and bring in circulation to those deep areas where healing has been blocked. Shockwave can be a bit of a misnomer when it comes to this modality. While the name indicates some sort of shock sensation when being used, it actually feels more like being tapped over and over again by a ball pen hammer! Shockwave uses acoustic waves that lead to faster, as well as long-term healing and tissue regeneration. The accusative wave carries high energy to the targeted tissue. There, it promotes regenerative and reparative processes. Some of the processes include: New blood vessel formation Reversal of chronic inflammation Stimulation of collagen production Breakdown of calcifications Decreased pain (via substance P dispersion) Release of trigger points Shockwave can be used for many diagnoses, including but not limited to rotator cuff injuries, calcific tendinosis, tennis/golfers elbow, heel spurs and plantar fasciitis. While the treatment can be uncomfortable, it is not painful. Treatment can range once every 7-10 days between treatments, depending on your condition and tolerance to the Shockwave therapy. Typically 8-10 treatments will be needed, however that may change depending on your specific needs. Does this sound like something that could help you? Or do you have more questions?
