Derek is a Registered Massage Therapist with a diploma from the Vancouver College of
Massage Therapy, where he graduated with honours. His lifelong passion for sports and active
living inspired him to pursue a career as an RMT, combining his love for movement with his
dedication to helping others achieve their wellness goals. Derek also holds a diploma in
kinesiology from Langara College, earned in 2022.
Derek offers both therapeutic and relaxation massage, personalizing each treatment to meet the
unique needs of every patient. Whether it’s improving mobility, reducing tension, or aiding in
recovery from physical challenges, he is committed to providing effective, practical solutions. His
patient-centered approach ensures that each treatment is tailored to address the specific needs
and concerns of the individual. Derek’s treatments incorporate a blend of Swedish massage,
deep tissue techniques, trigger point therapy, joint mobilization, pin-and-stretch techniques, and
myofascial release.
Outside of his practice, Derek leads an active and dynamic lifestyle that reflects his passion for
health, fitness, and sports. As an avid pickleball and basketball player, he thrives on competition
and enjoys the constant opportunity for self-improvement. Regular workouts are an integral part
of his routine, helping him maintain his physical health while setting an example of an active,
healthy lifestyle for his clients. Derek also enjoys playing video games, finding it a great way to
unwind and enjoy leisure time.
As a healthcare provider, Derek is passionate about fostering wellness in all aspects of life. His
goal is to support each client on their journey to optimal health and well-being.
