Jaw pain? Headaches? You DON'T need to have been diagnosed with TMJ Dysfunction by a Dr. to book this treatment! TMJ is the TemporoMandibular Joint, and it is the only joint in the body that is bilateral (has 2 sides) and each side must act together. If there is dysfunction, whether it is muscular, joint or a combination of both, you may experience symptoms like clicking, popping noises, difficulty moving your jaw or pain with chewing or yawning. Even neck and shoulder tension can contribute to tension in the jaw muscles. This 45 minute treatment will focus on the muscles of the head, face, neck and upper shoulders only; some treatment inside the mouth (intra-oral) may be extremely helpful in resolving discomfort.

The central nervous system is heavily influenced by the craniosacral system - the membranes and fluid that surround, protect and nourish the brain and spinal cord. Using a soft touch which is generally no greater than 5 grams - about the weight of a nickel - practitioners release restrictions in the soft tissues that surround the central nervous system. CST may help with: Migraines & Headaches, Traumatic Brain Injuries & Concussions, Emotional Difficulties & Depression, Stress and Tension-Related Problems, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, Sleep Challenges.

Whether you are dealing with headaches, TMJ pain, an acute injury, chronic muscular tension, or just feeling stressed and want to relax, I'm happy to work with you to tailor a treatment to help you meet your goals and feel more like yourself. We will discuss your areas of concern, and perform a brief assessment to create a plan for your treatment. A variety of techniques may be used during treatment, such as myofascial release techniques, classic swedish massage, active or passive stretching, mild joint mobilization, or hot and contrast stone tools to target stubborn areas of tension

Take your time. I find a slow approach can be quite helpful to allow patients to unwind. Our lives are fast-paced, but our self-care doesn't need to feel that way. A slow and methodical approach may support the parasympathetic nervous system and allow greater ease and comfort. This appointment is a great option if you either have several areas of concern to address, or one area of concern AND you would like a thorough full body massage as well

Melt into relaxation! This relaxation focused stone massage may still be very therapeutic as the stones are not simply placed upon you; the swedish massage techniques are actually performed with the stones in hand. This is intended to be a general full body treatment, perfect for those dealing with general stress, and unspecific muscle tension. For treatment with a specific focus, please book a regular 60 minute massage therapy visit.

For patients who have already completed an initial intake Manual Lymphatic Drainage appointment and are continuing with their treatment plan. MLD is a light massage designed to stretch the skin in a rhythmic sequence in order to increase lymphatic flow. This appointment includes assessment, treatment, reassessment as well as applicable homecare instructions if needed.

*For those with healthy lymph systems* In this first appointment you and Jess will discuss your health history and complete an intake interview where we get to know your current health status and goals. Pictures and measurements may be taken and added to your file, at your requested and with your consent. A treatment plan will be developed with you and informed consent will be obtained. From there the agreed up treatment plan will be put into action and treatment performed. *MLD is not appropriate if you have metastatic or systemic malignant conditions, congestive heart failure, kidney disease, an active bacterial infection, or thrombosis or embolism. In these situations, please book a different treatment option such as Massage Therapy.
