Dr. Alex studied Cognitive Science at Carleton University, where she developed a strong foundation in understanding the relationship between the mind and body. She went on to complete her Doctor of Naturopathy degree at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine. During her clinical training, Dr. Alex was selected for the Mental Health Focus Shift, where she received training in evidence-based approaches to mental health, with an emphasis on supporting metabolic health and overall physical function.
Dr. Alex’s approach to care incorporates physical modalities, including acupuncture, to support the body’s natural healing processes while addressing underlying imbalances. She recognizes that physical health—particularly metabolic and digestive function—plays a critical role in overall well-being, energy, and mood. By supporting these foundational systems, she helps patients achieve more sustainable and comprehensive health outcomes.
Outside of the clinic, she enjoys staying active, exploring nature, and unwinding with good food and good company. She believes that small, meaningful moments—like getting outside or sharing time with loved ones—are an important part of overall well-being.
