As a Naturopathic Doctor, I love to incorporate the best available evidence with traditional methods to enhance each patient’s health and deliver the highest quality of care. I act as a bridge between the conventional medical team and natural medicine – helping you navigate the system, while enhancing your care to achieve your best level of wellbeing possible. I am passionate about optimizing health and managing chronic disease, with a special interest in women’s health, fertility, hormonal balance and breast cancer. Since these conditions have touched the lives of loved ones, I have a very personal understanding of the challenges and struggles involved. My individualized approach addresses the specific needs of my patients as I work closely with them to achieve their health goals.

After graduating from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto, I was accepted into the competitive Clinical Residency program. This placed me back in the heart of evidence-based naturopathic medicine and research. My research into adjunctive breast cancer care was selected for presentation at the 2015 CAND – Health Fusion Conference in Calgary, Alberta, which was an exciting experience for me. I have been able to continue my work at the College by lecturing in Clinical Medicine on topics such as Breast Concerns and Pelvic Pain, as well as supervising interns in the teaching clinic. I am also a teaching assistant for acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine.
Prior to moving to Toronto, I graduated from the University of Saskatchewan with a High Honours Bachelors of Science in Physiology. I was involved in innovative research in neuroscience, endocrinology and reproduction. I also received highest academic achievement in Physiology from St.Thomas Moore College, University of Saskatchewan. I now focus my problem-solving skills on the complexity of hormonal health in women – a key component in managing women’s health, fertility and breast cancer. I have been described as a dedicated and caring doctor who is committed to the wellbeing of her patients, and I take great pride in this.
Outside the office, you are likely to find me walking outdoors with a pile of research papers tucked under my arm, listening to a podcast (I’m an addict) and possibly some paint splashes on my fingers. I love tinkering in my potted garden and doing crafts – an homage to my country girl roots! I hope that by sharing my light-hearted and caring nature with my patients that it inspires them to create a more balanced, healthy lifestyle for themselves.

During this extended follow-up, we fine tune your plan following your initial visit, review advanced assessment results or address new or previous concerns if it has been longer than 12 months since your last visit. This is your best option for a thorough assessment to refresh your plan. Advanced assessment options include: Complete Blood Work, Food Sensitivity Testing, Heavy Metal Testing, Hormone Testing, Organic Acids Testing, GI MAP and SIBO Testing. These assessments are discussed with relevance to your health concerns and goals. Nutrition, supportive supplements, lifestyle counseling, stress, sleep, digestion, environmental exposures, and more, will all be reviewed.

This includes assessment of your health and important lifestyle factors, including: diet, exercise, sleep, stress management and environmental exposures. A comprehensive treatment plan will be initiated, which often includes nutrition guidelines, wellness + fertility coaching, nutrient recommendations (incl. injections) and acupuncture. Laboratory and advanced assessment will be employed if relevant. Your plan will be geared towards successfully achieving your health goal (i.e. a healthy baby).

Initial consultation for IV Therapy, time inclusive of one IV Myers treatment. This appointment is for patients who would like to have IV therapy, with no other Naturopathic guidance. Blood work may be recommended before the next IV session, however, the first IV will be administered on the same day, provided that there is schedule availability, and that there are no risk factors in your health history. A supply fee of $70 or more will applied to this appointment at checkout for the cost of the IV supplies.
Initial Laser Consultation & Treatment. This appointment is required for non-existing patients of the clinic who do not desire any Naturopathic guidance that is not related to Laser. This is an intake appointment, designed to determine/eliminate any risk factors before performing Laser therapy, as well as to create a plan of action for your ongoing Laser treatment. The cost of this appointment is inclusive of one laser treatment.
This visit is for both Mom and Baby (up to 1 year of age), especially the early months when new mothers are looking for support following delivery. This may mean help for healing C-section scars and improving milk supply - or just making sure that both mommy and baby are healthy and right on track!
