I’m Ellen, a Registered Clinical Social Worker (MSW, RCSW) with a specialization in child & adolescent mental health. I am experienced in working with children, youth, young adults, and families who are impacted by trauma, grief, loss, anxiety, depression, obsessions and compulsions, low self-esteem, and identity struggles.
I believe in incorporating creative and compassionate approaches into my clinical work and do so by utilizing play and art therapy techniques, child focused EMDR, attachment based interventions, elements of cognitive behavioural therapy, narrative therapy, and mindfulness strategies.

When I’m not at working, I’m practicing my own self-care by spending time with people who support me, being outside with my dog, and dreaming of future travels.

This session is required prior to any individual child (6-17 years old) booking. I kindly ask that child(ren) do not attend this session. I believe it is crucial to work with both the child individually and with parents/caregivers to help build capacity and support the needs of the child outside of the therapy space. *Please note: Consent from both legal guardians is required prior to the first appointment with the child.
This session is for parents and caregivers who would like to discuss their child's progress, treatment planning, and learn more about supporting their child's mental wellness. I kindly ask that child(ren) do not attend this session. These sessions can be booked in complement to your child's therapy or in replacement of (for younger children).
*Please book this appointment in your child's name.* In-person appointment for clients between the ages of 6-17 years old.
