Erin loves a good mystery. It was this interest in problem solving that lead her to a career where she was able to both help people and solve the mysteries of their pain and health concerns.
After completing her 2200 hour massage therapy program in 2017, Erin successfully completed the Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine program at the Canadian Institute for Chinese Medicine. Dually registered, Erin is able to combine both the western, orthopedic approach of massage therapy and the eastern traditional approach of Chinese medicine to her treatments. By using these holistic viewpoints, Erin is able to help solve the mystery of her clients discomfort and help them restore balance to their body effectively relieving their aches and pains.
Erin has experience working in multidisciplinary clinics, working primarily with clients who have been involved in motor vehicle accidents and people suffering from chronic pain and systemic conditions.
In her massage therapy practice, Erin is skilled in deep tissue treatment, Swedish massage, cupping, gua-sha, and reflexology. She is experienced in child massage, pre/post-natal massage, and in treating various orthopedic injuries.

Acupuncture involves the insertion of very thin needles through your skin at strategic points on your body. Commonly used to treat pain, acupuncture is increasingly being used to treat a plethora of overall health and wellness conditions including chronic, systemic pathologies. An initial acupuncture assessment is conducted during this session to allow your clinician to form a diagnosis based upon the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine. This assessment will include a thorough health history taking, lifestyle questions, and an examination of parts of the body that are sore. It will also include an examination of your face, tongue and various pulse points around your body. After the assessment, your acupuncturist will propose, and with your agreement, begin a TCM/ acupuncture treatment plan that may include needles, supplement recommendations, manual therapy including cupping, guasha and other modalities.

This treatment is a stand alone session of Guasha therapy. Gua sha is a traditional Chinese healing method in which a trained professional slides a smooth-edged tool across your skin while they press on it. This motion raises small, red, rash-like dots that show under your skin called petechiae. This treatment is believed to help increase local blood flow, and stimulate the immune response in the area treated. People generally use gua-sha to treat chronic pain.

This treatment includes a 15 minute warm-up massage followed for approximately 45 minutes of fire cupping. Fire cupping is an ancient form of traditional chinese medicine in which a therapist applies glass cups on your skin for a few minutes to which create a suction force. This suction force lifts the skin and often causes the blood and fluid under the skin to create a red or purple colouring. People choose cupping for many purposes, including but not limited to: pain, inflammation, blood flow, relaxation and well-being.
