Faith Nelson is a Registered Clinical Counsellor with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors. She was born and raised in Prince George and holds a Bachelor of Social Work and a Master of Education in Counselling, both from the University of Northern British Columbia.
Faith’s professional background is based in acute care, mental health, harm reduction and recovery oriented support within the hospital, community clinics and outreach teams. Faith works from a trauma-informed, person-centred approach, with a strong focus on creating a safe, supportive, and collaborative therapeutic space. She values meeting individuals where they are at in their lives and walking alongside them at their own pace. Drawing from Emotion-Focused Therapy and Narrative Therapy, and integrating strengths-based and solution-focused techniques, Faith supports clients in holding space for their story, deepening self-understanding and connection, fostering meaningful change and empowerment in their lives.
Outside of her work, Faith values activities that help her stay grounded and reconnect with herself, including spending time outdoors with her dogs, camping, hiking, and gardening.
