Ian represents the "Herb" side of our venture. Ian has always been drawn to the healing power of herbs, feeling a natural pull to explore their benefits more deeply. This curiosity organically wove into his conscious approach to cooking, where he creates immune-supportive, nourishing meals that align with the rhythms of the seasons. With over 25 years of experience as a Chef, Ian completed two years of study in Holistic Herbal Wellness in Halifax and has recently earned his Diploma in Acupuncture from Bedford, NS along with special training and certification in cosmetic acupuncture.
Guided by a philosophy that views the body as a whole, where the mind, body, and spirit are intricately connected, Ian blends his expertise in holistic food with the ancient wisdom of acupuncture. He believes in restoring balance not just through nourishing meals, but by addressing underlying energy imbalances, particularly in the gut, which plays a crucial role in overall health. Drawing on acupuncture's principles of Qi (energy flow) and the meridian system, Ian helps guide clients through digestive challenges and emotional blocks, bringing harmony to both the body and mind.

This individualized acupuncture treatment is designed to help balance the body’s energy, or Qi , which can be particularly beneficial for mental health. You will experience hands-on acupressure massage, TuiNA, and specific acupuncture points that offer a calming, sedative effect. When it comes to calming the shen, the spirit or mind in TCM, acupuncture aims to restore harmony within the body, reduce stress, and support emotional balance. Our Shen is believed to reside in the heart and influences mental clarity, emotional well-being, and consciousness. If the Shen is disturbed, it can lead to symptoms like anxiety, insomnia, irritability, and even depression.
