For clients who don't quite need the full hour.
Assessment appointments are meant to gather information and to understand the direction and goals for counselling. Assessments with children under 10 should be completed with the parent, without the child present.
For new clients who have a lot of information to share, 60 minutes can sometimes be too short. Note that assessments for children under 10 should be done with the parent(s) without the child present.
60 minutes are recommended for clients who are fairly new, have a lot to cover since their last visit, or haven't seen me in a while.
