Kayla has been a Lactation Consultant and Registered Nurse for 5 years. She believes that postpartum is such a joyful and life changing time in a family’s life and loves being able to help the women navigate the challenges and joys of feeding during this time.
With a Bachelor of Nursing Degree and Lactation Consultant Certification, Kayla helps foster the feeding relationship, which is such a special privilege for her. Being able to work with parents to navigate this part of their journey, and make the unknown a little less scary, is incredibly gratifying for her. From helping with positioning, bottle feeding and pumping to plugged ducts, low supply and fast let down, she has plenty of solutions and creates a safe space for open dialogue and honest conversations.

These topics may include: - Tips on getting a great latch, and different feeding positions - The Golden Hour and the benefits of skin to skin - Breast milk, donor human milk, and formula - Normal intake, output, and weight gain for a newborn - Hand expression, pumping and breast milk storage - Tips for bottle feeding and other artificial nipples - Feeding after a C-section or complicated birth - Engorgement, mastitis, milk blebs - How your partner can support you and be a part of your baby's feeding journey Partners are always welcome and even encouraged to participate in any of the consults!
